December 02, 2020 2 min read

2020 has been a tough year for everyone. We’ve all had to make adjustments in our everyday routines because of COVID. Some of those adjustments we made and had to live with, some hopefully temporarily are: social distancing, e-learning, stores closings, unemployment, unexpected losses of loved ones and the list goes on.

The sparking lights on Christmas trees, and sounds of Holiday music playing over the radio and all the Holiday TV shows bring back some normalcy to our current situation, but as much as we try and sugarcoat it, normalcy is far from returning for many.

As we all come together and enjoy our Holiday meals this season, many less fortunate may not be as lucky. With no real food drives this year, our food pantries have had their supplies depleted – The Boy Scouts were unable to do their Food Drive as well as our Post Office.

The Sycamore Food Pantry which is housed at United Methodist Church is in need of many items and we want to help. So now through Saturday December 12th,you will receive 10% off your purchase when you bring donations into Lizzy’s. In addition, on December 12th, when you make a purchase, 10% of that purchase will be donated to the Sycamore Food Pantry.

Items needed are:

  • Canned Soup
  • Canned Fruit
  • Canned Vegetables
  • Peanut Butter
  • Jelly
  • Canned Meal – Dinty Moore, Spaghetti O’s, Ravioli, Beefaroni, etc
  • Crackers
  • Cereal
  • Toilet Paper
  • Paper Towels
  • Bagged Pasta
  • Rice
  • Boxed Pasta

And as always, any monetary donations are always appreciated –

Checks may be made out to the Sycamore Food Pantry

We hope that you will be an elf this season and join us to help fight against hunger in our community this holiday season.

Thank you,

Lizzy
