The first 2021 concert at the beautiful Ellwood House Museum 'Music at the Mansion-Entertainment with the Stars' in DeKalb (IL) will take place Wednesday, June 23. This will be the ”Rat Pack at the Mansion" tribute show featuring the Frank Rossi Band and singer Tommy Panici.
This “Rat Pack” tribute Band includes many of the songs made famous by Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Sammy Davis Jr. The band leader is Frank Rossi, a professional entertainer from Chicago. Frank is considered to be Mr. Entertainer in regional entertainment. The lead singer is Tommy Panici who can touch the lady's heart with his romantic selections. The band plays a touch of love songs with some favorite show tunes to create their own special style. Please bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy the music. The main show act starts at 7:00 PM
The opening act will be a special 'Fashion Show' for the great looks of summer for ladies. Presented by Lizzy's Pink Boutique in downtown Sycamore, this fashionable showcase will offer trendy outfits for summer. According to Ms. Lizzy, "A woman’s wardrobe is her opportunity to stand out and make a lasting first impression. The shoppe offers the styles ladies want at the prices ladies love. Because beauty comes in all shapes and sizes, ladies will discover that “Lizzy's Pink Boutique doesn’t just sell clothes, they sell confidence”. The opening act starts at 6:30 PM. Not to leave the men out, there will also be a mini 'Classic Car Show', featuring some past car show winners.
There will be refreshments available to purchase. A nice selection of beers and wines to purchase hosted by Fatty’s Pub and Grille in DeKalb. New this year will be an opportunity to purchase food from Big D's Hotdogs.
These concerts are free and are very family-friendly. Please bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy the start to the 2021 season. Parking is available near the Ellwood Mansion (off Linden Place) as well as the Clinton Rosette school and Congregational United Church of Christ parking lots.
The June 23rd concert will honor the DeKalb Rotary and DeKalb ELKS Lodge #765. The Rotary is celebrating its 100th Anniversary in DeKalb. The DeKalb ELKS are kicking off their fundraising for the new "DeKalb Veterans Memorial'.
